Trouble shooting |
|
- Check good batteries are installed in the
receiver – and are the correct way around
NOTE : As per the instructions, rechargeables
can not be used - At 1.2v each they only provide
80% of the required voltage.
- Check both receiver and transmitter channel
switches are in the same direction. There is a
tiny switch on the side of the transmitter and
receiver - to work both must be pushed in the
same direction.
- Check receiver power button is out (on)
- Does red light on receiver flash when
transmitter test button is pressed ?
- If you are using the "H" type plug adaptor,
try reversing the connection (and thus the
polarity).
- If you are using Interfit "Stellar" lights,
please call us.

|
| Range |
|
Expect a range of 8
- 10 metres indoors with a clear path. If
range is shorter, try repositioning the receiver -
it may be next to a radiating transformer or
component in the flash head. Also, check
transmitter and receiver batteries.

Sleeping Canon 580EX flashguns |
|
If you are using Canon 580EX
flashguns with our hotshoe adaptor you may find that
they go to sleep after a period of inactivity.
The basic sync signal from our receivers will not
"wake" the head. To avoid problems disable the
sleep mode using custom function 14 on the flashgun.
|
| "The
red light flashes but the flash head doesn't
trigger" |
|
It's possible that
sync lead leaving the receiver has a broken
conductor.
Contact us for more information on repair and
advance swap-out options. |
"I've
got blue Courtenay lights and the trigger doesn't
work with them."
|
|
Older Courtenay lights have
reversed polarity sync signals. When
purchasing the TXRX02 select the Courtenay convertor
from the list of RX02 Convertor cables. |
If the above doesn't solve your question / problem -
contact us.
