Radio Flash Trigger Support : TXRX3000 Series

Trouble shooting

  • Does red light on receiver flash when transmitter test button is pressed ?

  • If you are using the "H" type plug adaptor, try reversing the connection (and thus the polarity).

Transmitter Batteries   The transmitter takes a 12volt type 23A battery - Commonly available from Boots, Jessops, Maplin etc - Also sold as LR-23A, E23A, V23GA, MN21, K23A, 8LR932, 8F10R, VR-22, L1028.

The battery is user replaceable by removing the single cross head screw on the underside of the transmitter.  Ensure the replacement battery is inserted in the correct orientation.

Transmitter batteries should last several months dependant on usage, however can drain quicker if left attached to certain cameras (e.g. Polaroid passport camera) or if the test button is depressed whilst the transmitter is stuffed into a gadget bag.

Receiver Batteries   The receiver draws it's power from the mains cable - No batteries are required

Range   Expect a range of 8 - 10 metres indoors with a clear path.  If range is shorter, try repositioning the receiver - it may be next to a radiating transformer or component in the flash head.  Also, check transmitter and receiver batteries.

"The red light flashes but the flash head doesn't trigger"   It's possible that sync lead leaving the receiver has a broken conductor. Contact us for more information on repair and advance swap-out options.

"I've got blue Courtenay lights and the trigger doesn't work with them."

Older Courtenay lights have reversed polarity sync signals.  When purchasing the TXRX02 select the Courtenay convertor from the list of RX02 Convertor cables.

If the above doesn't solve your question / problem -  contact us.
